Do you have any tips for Ladies Performance Shoes?

Shoes:

Closed Toe Dance Shoe complete with Glitter
These shoes have been included because every time I wear them I always get asked where I bought them from! They offer a unique colour choice which allows you to match your social dancing outfit or purchase a black and gold pair for your casual Street Latin performances.
My Favourite Pair of Shoes

Black or Tan Shoes on a budget

These lovely shoes meet the basic criteria and are the perfect budget social or performance shoe. Social shoes do not always get well looked after and Performance shoes should be clean (with few scuffs etc), but getting a brand new pair just to perform in or to wear on concrete can be a bit pricy. Not anymore! These are also perfect for when you need a specific colour for a particular performance in a colour that you would not ordinarily own, or are required to perform outdoors or on surfaces you just don’t want to wear your fav shoes.

Performance and Competition

Express Delivery from Australia, 110% Comfort Guarantee.

For performance and competition, the ideal Ladies shoe is Dark Tan or Bronze in colour. Why?  So the leg line continues all the way from the top of your leg right through to the floor.  They also highlight your dancing by drawing the attention away from your feet so the audience can focus on you!

Do you have any tips for Mens Performance Shoes?

For performance and competition, the ideal Men’s shoe is to match your pant colour. Why? So the leg line continues all the way from the top of your leg right through to the floor.

Help! The sole of the shoe is breaking away from the main shoe! What can I do?
A friend of mine worked at an Art & Craft store and recommended me to try glueing my shoes back together using Helmar 450 Quick Dry Adhesive and I’ve been doing this ever since.  She recommended to me to apply a small amount of glue onto one surface, let it go tacky, clamp the two sides together, lightly hammer together and let dry.  I’ve been using clothes pegs to hold mine together while the glue dries!

One tip that was given to me by another dance teacher is it is worth noting if your shoes are breaking in random places or the same spot on every pair of shoes.  If it is random, then it is most likely you’ve been overusing your shoes in nightclubs and other non ideal dance surfaces (NightCat!!); however if it is the same place on every pair of shoes then you may need to review your dance technique and see if your shoes are a clue on an area of improvement.
